8 ways to start loving yourself the way you deserve to be loved

It's our way of saying that we want love. But the best way to get that is to start loving others. One of the many secrets to live with that love feeling is to get yourself to work on a great attitude and lifestyle. Once you create that strategic lifestyle then passing on that love is never a question. Sooner, it will go in a circle.


Here's the 8 ways to achieve that and it surely works.


1. POSITIVE OUTLOOK / GRATEFUL

As soon as you wake up in the morning, wouldn't it be a great habit to say, "Thank you God, for this beautiful new day." "Today, is going to be a great day!" Smile. Get your mind set that you're going to bless at least one person today. How? Make that person feel special. Show some interest in helping that person even in a very simple way, e.g. listening to his/her stories, give a lift if he/she doesn't drive, etc. There are tons of ways that won't cost you a dime and you're making that human being next to you special. Keep in mind: "What comes around, goes around." Use your imagination.

2. COMPLIMENT.

Who never wants to be recognized? Everyone wants to be appreciated. Why not observe people around you. Have you noticed a person with the new haircut? Yeah...start from there. Throw a compliment. "Your new hair style makes you look younger." OR "Wow! that new hair style looks great on you." Very simple. Very common? Yeah, I got you. But believe me, even though people hear that compliment a thousand times, it surely creates a smile. Keep in mind, a compliment doesn't need to be rehearsed. What comes genuine from your heart even a nod and a thumbs up gesture makes a big difference. The good feeling you sent, gets back at you.

3. SELF-HELP BOOKS.

I don't know about you, but it works for me. Not everyone loves to read. But hey, we all read. Right now, what do you think you're doing? You're reading my article. We read newspaper, we want to know what's the current event. And hey, not to mention we read our emails, text messages, responses from our posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on. The Social Media creates a fire of knowledge here and there, good and bad, interesting and boring. All sorts of thing. The bottom line is, we all read. So, anything that delivers tips to survive our many facets of daily living helps. There are tons of materials out there. Why don't we start feeding that brain with great input that last a lifetime? 4.MEDITATION.

Most people have a misconception on what meditation entails. It's common to picture a person sitting in a child pose, closed eyes, breathing in and out, praying. All sorts of thing. And not everyone likes that. Some might want to be active and can't concentrate even for 5 minutes to empty the mind and focus at the present moment. I certainly can relate to that. But you may start with just finding a comfortable place for you. Alone in your room, sit comfortably, without the glory of technology. Just close your eyes and listen to your breath in and out. If you maintain to listen to that for a couple of minutes you've just connected yourself into the great capacity to focus on one thing. Then add another minute to do the same, and so on... Remember, we all need a quiet time for ourselves, even for 5 minutes a day. That makes our mind composed which creates magically to pass love onto others.

5. EXERCISE.

Start your day with a twist and shout using your busy bodies. Just doing a daily 15-20 minute walk gets that blood circulation going. Remember, it takes an active body to get the mind going. If we maintain a healthy body, our mind follows which creates a better way to continue loving. What is it for a man to be connected with others if our brain lacks energy? Don't you know that proper exercise boost your self-esteem? Give it a try.

6. HEALTHY DIET

It is essential to deliver productively if we only nourish ourselves with healthy foods. There are lots of choices to rejuvenate ourselves. Why not start with a healthy breakfast? Let's feed our mind with foods rich in vitamins and minerals. A toast spread with avocado sprinkled with flax seeds and a glass of smoothies for the go-getter is a smart move to start the day.

7. DONATE.

What could we donate? Surprisingly, there are layers of tops and bottoms colliding in our walking closet. It might be a good practice if we do a physical inventory of our wardrobe at least every 6 months. Do you know that clothing not used for at least 6 months, should no longer be kept? Why? It means we don't need it. Well, unless you're reserving that as a gift or something. I make it a habit every time I purchase a new pair of clothing, an old pair should go. Let us donate used or slightly used clothing. You never know how much it could sustain other people. And not only that, we could donate basic things like canned goods or items that need to be given away. Next time, visit your pantry. You're not really saving anything if you ended up throwing your expired Pancake mix. When we give something, we feel that emptiness replaced with warmth in our heart.

8. TREAT YOURSELF.

Why this comes last? Yes, of course. After you've worked so hard to walk through the circle of reaping what you sow - walk in love, you'll be surprised to know that this is the most important gift you can give yourself in order to feel loved. Love yourself. Treat yourself. Whatever it is that makes you feel good. Whatever feels right. Then for good sake, do it! It could be going for a relaxing body massage or getting your hair and nails done. A warm bath in the tub. An out of town trip. A great photo shoot to explore on top of the mountain if you want to go crazy or just simply enjoy the delectable cheesecake to fill that craving sweet tooth. Go for it! It tickles that great mood within that goes a long way to experience that love feeling. When you feel great, great work follows.
